Metropolitan Opera to Offer Free Tickets to Damnation of Faust Dress Rehearsal

The Metropolitan Opera will offer 3000 free public tickets to final dress rehearsal of Robert Lepage’s production Berlioz’s La Damnation de Faust, to take place at 11am on Tuesday, November 4. The rehearsal also will include a panel discussion led by Lepage, who will direct Wagner’s “Ring Cycle” for the met in 2010.

The tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Met box office, beginning at noon on Sunday, November 2.

The production, which begins performances on Friday November 7, will star Marcello Giordani as Faust, Susan Graham as Marguerite, and John Relyea as Méphistophélès, and will be conducted by James Levine. It will also be broadcast as one of the Met’s award-winning live high-definition transmissions into movie theaters on Saturday, November 22.
