Journeys Begins La MaMa Run on October 2

Journeys, a new group of monologues based on the testimonies of women from around the world engaged in the dangerous struggle for human rights, will play La MaMa, October 2-19. The show, which is directed by Evan Yionoulis, is presented in two separate series in repertory.

The monologues are written by Anna Deavere Smith, Ruth Margraff, Gail Kreigel, Carol K. Mack, Susan Yankowitz, Catherine Filloux, and Paula Cizmar. They will be performed by (in alphabetical order) Betsy Aidem, Terry Donnelly, Mercedes Herrero, Rachael Holmes, Christine Toy Johnson, Alexandra Napier, and Reena Shah.
