Healey, Lauria, Pruitt, Thurber, et al. to Participate in Youngblood 15th Anniversary

Youngblood, Ensemble Studio Theatre’s collective of emerging playwrights under 30, will celebrate its fifteenth season with the play festival Asking For Trouble, to perform at E.S.T., October 21-25.

Asking For Trouble is Youngblood’s annual speed theater challenge: playwrights pick a cast and a director out of a hat, and are given one week to write a play for that cast. After one week of rehearsal, the plays are presented, off-book and fully staged.

The festival will include actors Jessica Andres, Matt Lauria, Johnny Pruitt, and Marguerite Stimpson, as well as playwrights Zakiyyah Alexander, Sam Forman, Amy Fox, Amy Herzog, Ann Marie Healy, Qui Nguyen, Lloyd Suh, and Lucy Thurber. Additional participants will be announced at a later date.
