Full cast and creative team have been announced for the world premiere of Lynn Nottage’s drama Ruined, which will play Chicago’s Goodman Theatre, November 8-December 7, to be followed by a run at Manhattan Theatre Club, beginning January 21. Kate Whoriskey will direct the production.

The play focuses on Mama Nadi, a shrewd businesswoman living in a small mining town in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The role will now be played by Saidah Arrika Ekulona; she replaces originally announced star Adriane Lenox, who withdrew from the production for personal reasons.

Jones (Christian), Simon Kashama (Soldier #1), Kevin Mambo (Commander Osembenga), Tom Mardirosian (Mr. Harari), and Condola Phyleia Rashad (Sophie).

The creative includes Derek McLane (sets), Paul Tazewell (costumes), Peter Kaczorowski (lighting), Rob Milburn and Michael Bodeen (sound), and Dominic Kanza (original music).
