Billy Porter Set to Teach Workshop at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre

Billy Porter is set to teach a two day workshop at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre as part of its Conservatory of Performing Arts (COPA).

The first day of the workshop will feature an “open mic” night with Porter where students can bring their own music and perform Rock, Broadway, Gospel, Classical or any other musical preference. On the second day, Porter will work with full vocal selections and monologues from each student.

Porter’s Broadway credits include Miss Saigon, Five Guys Named Moe, Smokey Joe’s Café, and Grease. Porter won “Vocalist of the Year” on the original Star Search, and his film, The Broken Hearts Club, won the G.L.A.A.D. Media Award at the Sundance Festival.
