Biggs, Gallagher, Halston, Parrish, Scott, Urie, et al. Set for Artios Awards on November 10

Julie Halston will be the New York Mistress of Ceremonies at this year’s 24th Annual Artios Awards, honoring excellence in casting, to be held on Monday, November 10 at Caroline’s on Broadway. A ceremony will also be held that day at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.

Thomas Schumacher, president of Disney Theatrical Group, will receive the special ‘New York Apple Award’ at the 2008 Artios Awards in New York, whileHairsprayproducers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron will be honored with the Career Achievement Award, and Mali Finn will receive the Hoyt Boyers Award in Los Angeles. Awards in 19 categories, including Broadway, Off-Broadway and Los Angeles theater, will be announced during ceremonies.

Guest presenters in New York will include Bryan Batt, Jason Biggs, Robert Buckey, Danny Burstein, Bobby Cannavale, Jennifer Ehle, John Gallagher, Gavin Lee, Norm Lewis, Rebecca Luker, Alan Menken, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Hunter Parrish, Kristen Schall, Sherie Rene Scott, and Michael Urie.
