Balan, Call, Chase, Daniels, LaChanze, Leavel, et al. Set for NAMT Benefit Concert

Courtney Balan, Cathryn Basile, Michael C. Buchanan, Andrew C. Call, Nikki Renee Daniels, and Chelsea Kromback have joined the cast of A Toast to 20, a benefit concert and party in honor of the National Alliance of Musical Theatre’s 20th Annual Festival of New Musicals, which will take place at 6pm on Sunday, October 19 at Comix. The concert, which is open to the public, is co-sponsored by TheaterMania.

As previously reported, the show will be hosted by Tony Award winners Beth Leavel and Bob Martin, and will feature performances by Stephanie D’Abruzzo, Will Chase, Gavin Creel, Ryan Driscoll, Malcolm Gets, Lauren Kennedy, LaChanze, Lauren Prtichard, Robb Sapp, and Bobby Steggert. It will be directed by Casey Hushion, with music direction by Lynne Shankel.

The concert will feature selections from past NAMT shows, including Songs for a New World, The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin, The Drowsy Chaperone, Harold and Maude, The Story of My Life, Thoroughly Modern Millie, I Love You Because!, Children of Eden, Vanities, Striking 12, Honk!, and Summer of ’42.
