Anthony Rapp to Star in Nobody Suspects a Butterfly Benefit

Anthony Rapp, Charlie Kevin, and Patricia Buckley will star in the Royal Family Productions’ two-night benefit presentation of Nobody Suspects a Butterfly, October 23-24, set to run at Theatre for a New City with direction by Chris Henry.

Based on a true story, Nobody Suspects a Butterfly centers on a small town in New England after it suffered the suicide deaths of five young athletes. This multimedia production is told through flashbacks, dance, and football.

Rapp is best known for originating the role of Mark in Rent, and will reprise the part in the musical’s upcoming 2009 nationl tour. His other Broadway credits include You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Six Degrees of Separation, Precious Sons for which he received a Drama Desk nomination, and The Little Prince and the Aviator.

Proceeds will benefit Royal Family Productions’ after-school programs.
