Alan Bennett, the Tony Award-winning author of The History Boys, is donating his literary archive to the Bodleian Library at Oxford University, his alma mater, according to The Associated Press.

Bennett, who cofounded the comic troupe Beyond the Fringe with Jonathan Miller, Peter Cook and Dudley Moore, has also written such plays as Forty Years On, Kafka’s Dick, Habeas Corpus, and The Lady in the Van. His collection of short plays, Talking Heads, was a major success in New York.

He has also written numerous screenplays of his own work, earning an Academy Award nomination for The Madness of King George, as well as for such films as Prick Up Your Ears.
