McDormand and Strathairn Set for CSC’s Monday Night Macbeth

Oscar winner Frances McDormand and Oscar nominee David Strathairn will tackle the third act of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth as part of Classic Stage Company’s open rehearsal series, Monday Night Macbeth, November 12-December 3.

Shakespeare’s great tragedy will be explored by four different casts and directors on four consecutive Monday nights. Brian Kulick, the company’s artistic director, will tackle Act I on November 12, with a cast to be determined. On November 19, Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson will head the cast of Act II, under the direction of Barry Edelstein. McDormand and Strathairn will follow on November 26, under the direction of Michael Sexton, while Anne Bogart at her SITI company tackle Act IV on December 3.
