Full Cast Set for Donmar’s Othello With Eijofor and McGregor

Full casting has been announced for the Donmar Warehouse production of William Shakespeare’s Othello, November 30-February 23. The production will be directed by Michael Grandage.

In addition to previously announced stars Chiwetel Eijofor, Ewan McGregor and Kelly Reilly, the cast will feature Edward Bennett, Michelle Fairley, Michael Hadley, Tom Hiddleston, Michael Jenn, Martina Laird, James Laurenson, David Mara, and Alastair Sims.

The show’s creative team will feature Christopher Oram (sets and costumes), Paula Constable (lighting), and Adam Cork (sound and music). Grandage is the artistic director of the Donmar.

Ejiofor, who will play Othello, has starred on stage in The Seagull and Blue/Orange and on film in Children of Men and Dirty Pretty Things. McGregor, who will play Iago, was last on stage in 1999 in Little Malcolm and His Struggle Against the World. His many film credits include Miss Potter, Moulin Rouge, and Down With Love. Reilly, who will play Desdemona, has starred on stage in Piano/Forte and The Graduate.
