Full Cast, Creative Team Set for The Drunken City

Full cast and creative team have been announced for Adam Bock’s The Drunken City, to play March 13-April 20 at Playwrights Horizons’ Peter Jay Sharp Theater, with an opening set for March 26. The production will be directed by Trip Cullman.

The show focuses on a bride-to-be who begins to question her future after a chance encounter with a mysterious stranger in a bar.

In addition to the previously announced Barrett Foa and Maria Dizzia, the cast will include Cassie Beck, Mike Colter, Sue Jean Kim, and Alfredo Narciso. The production will feature scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Jenny Mannis, lighting design by Matthew Richards, sound design by Bart Fasbender, and choreography by John Carrafa.

Foa has appeared on Broadway in Avenue Q, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Mamma Mia! Dizzia has appeared Off-Broadway in Apparition, The Wooden Breeks, and Eurydice, in which she played the title role.

Bock’s other plays include The Receptionist, Swimming in the Shallows, and The Thugs. Cullman’s prior directing credits include Some Men, Bock’s Swimming in the Shallows, and The Last Sunday in June. He will also be directing US Drag which begins performances next month.
