Full Cast Announced for Aguirre-Sacasa’s Good Boys and True

Stephen Louis Grush, Nick Horst, Martha Lavey, Mark Minton, Kelly O’Sullivan, John Proccacino, Tim Rock, and Kelli Simpkins will star in the Steppenwolf Theatre Company’s world premiere production of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa’s Good Boys and True, to run December 12-February 16 at the Steppenwolf Downstairs Theatre.
The production will be directed by Pam McKinnon.

The play, which was workshopped at the Marin Theatre Company and the Eugene O’Neill Playwrights Conference, concerns Brandon Hardy, a star pupil at a Catholic prep school who gets embroiled in a sexual scandal, causing his doctor-mother to take often drastic actions.

Aguirre-Sacasa’s other plays include Based on a Totally True Story, Dark Matters, Say You Love Satan, and The Muckle Man. MacKinnon’s directorial credits include the New York Theatre Workshop productions of Bach at Leipzig and All the Wrong Reasons. She is currently directing the Second Stage Theatre production of Edward Albee’s Peter and Jerry and will direct Itamar Moses’ The Four of Us at Manhattan Theatre Club later this season.
