Dan Castellaneta to Star in London’s The Bicycle Men

Dan Castellaneta, the actor best known as he voice of Homer Simpson, will make his UK stage debut next month in the new American musical comedy The Bicycle Men, which will have play November 6-December 2 at the King’s Head Theatre. The show is written by Dave Lewman, Joe Liss, Mark Nutter and John Rubano with music and lyrics by Mark Nutter. Liss, Nutter and Rubano also join Castellaneta in the cast.

Billed as “a sublimely silly musical with French overtones”, The Bicycle Men revolves around Steve (Castellaneta), a hapless American tourist who crashes his bike and encounters the twisted inhabitants of a sinister French village. Mayhem ensues as Steve steps into a surreal world of depraved marionettes, creepy bicycle repair men other oddball characters. Only the god of bicycles can save the day.

Castellaneta’s theatre credits include The Alchemist, Moonlight and Magnolias and Where Did Vincent Van Gogh?. In addition to his Emmy Award-winning work on The Simpsons, his film and television credits include Mad About You, LA Law, NYPD Blue, Friends, Entourage, Monk My Giant, Space Jam, and The Pursuit of Happyness.
