Kathy Brier, Barrett Foa, Fritz Weaver, and Lenny Wolpe will star in Project Shaw‘s staged reading of George Bernard Shaw’s play Widower’s Houses, at 7pm on Monday, November 19 at the Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South).

Written in 1892, the play focuses on a young doctor and his future father-in-law and the money that comes between them. Widower’s Houses is George Bernard Shaw’s first play, a rarely produced work that has not been seen on Broadway in over a century.

The cast will also include Kieran Campion, Sarah Moon, and Adam Feldman as the narrator. The evening will be hosted by Jeremy McCarter.

Brier has starred on Broadway in Hairspray, and received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for her work on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live. Foa has appeared on Broadway in Avenue Q, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Mamma Mia! Weaver won a Tony Award for Child’s Play and received a Tony nomination for The Chalk Garden. Wolpe is currently playing the Wizard in Broadway’s Wicked. His Broadway credits include The Drowsy Chaperone, The Sound of Music, Copperfield, and Onward Victoria.
