New Mondays to Feature Faith Prince, New Songs from Dreamgirls

Tony Award winner Faith Prince and composers Lina Koutrakos, Henry Krieger, Craig Safan, and Adam Wagner will participate in the New Monday series at the Laurie Beechman Theatre at the West Bank Café (407 West 42nd Street) at 7pm on Monday, October 16.

Krieger will present two new songs from the upcoming film version of his smash hit musical Dreamgirls. The film, which will bow in December, stars Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, Beyoncé Knowles, Jennifer Hudson, Danny Glover, and Anika Noni Rose.

Prince won the Tony Award for Guys and Dolls and has starred on Broadway in such shows as Bells Are Ringing, Little Me, The King and I, and Jerome Robbins’ Broadway. She recently co-starred in the Showtime series Huff. Her upcoming cabaret engagements include New York’s Metropolitan Room, October 19-22; San Francisco’s Plush Room, December 12-17; and Palm Beach’s Colony Hotel. December 31-January 6.
