The play concerns a pilot who crash lands in a rural village in a war-torn country. Should the villagers in the region help him, murder him, or use him as a pawn in a dangerous game with the enemy? The American Pilot had its world premiere at London's Royal Shakespeare Company. Grieg's other works include Pyrenees, which was seen earlier this year in Los Angeles, and San Diego.
The creative team of the MTC production includes Derek McLane (sets), Ilona Somogyi (costumes), Christopher Akerlind (lighting) and Obadiah Eaves (sound). Among Meadow's directing credits are The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, Nine Armenians, and A Small Family Business.
