Free Inside Broadway Event to Be Held at Winter Garden on November 2

Cast members from the Broadway productions of Hairspray, The Lion King, Wicked, and Mamma Mia! will perform excerpts from those shows at Inside Broadway‘s 25th birthday party, to be held at the Winter Garden Theatre on Thursday, November 2, beginning at 10:15am. The 80-minute event will also feature scenes from Inside Broadway‘s upcoming 50th anniversary production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella.

The celebration will commemorate the organizations’s many years of presenting educational theater in the schools. Among the notables scheduled to be present at the event are Gerald Schoenfeld, chairman of the Shubert Organization, and Manhattan Borough President Scott M. Stringer.

Groups of schoolchildren are being invited to attend through the New York City Department of Education. There will also be limited seating for the general public on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning at 9:45am.
