Eustis, Gurney, Hawke, et al. Set for Public’s New Works Now! Festival

Oskar Eustis, A.R. Gurney, and Ethan Hawke are among the artists participating in the Public Theater’s New Works Now festival of free play readings, October 23-November 6. This year’s readings will include selections from the Arab/Israeli Festival, which is being co-presented by the Flea Theatre, New York Theatre Workshop, and Nibras.

Highlights of New Works Now include Jonathan Marc Sherman’s Things We Want, directed by Hawke; Itamar Moses’ Celebrity Row, directed by Eustis; and Gurney’s O Jerusalem, directed by Jim Simpson. Other artists represented in the festival include JoAnne Akalitis, Kia Corthron, Barry Edelstein, David Grieg, David Grimm, Stephen Adly Guirgis, Tina Landau, Motti Lerner, Robert O’Hara, Joanna Settle, Betty Shamieh, Naomi Wallace, and Tracey Scott Wilson.
