Butler, Green, Holmes, Kritzer, and Kudisch Will Perform Songs by Zachary and Weiner at Ars Nova

Kerry Butler, Jenna Leigh Green, Rupert Holmes, Leslie Kritzer, and Marc Kudisch will perform Let It Sing: The Songs of Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner, on Sunday, October 15 at 7pm at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street).

The show will feature songs from Zachary and Weiner’s Broadway-bound musical Secondhand Lions, which has a book by Holmes, based on the New Line Cinema film of the same title. Also featured will be numbers from the songwriting duo’s other projects, including the Disney animated feature Cinderella: a Twist in Time and the stage musical Twice Charmed, as well as Zachary and Weiner’s new national campaign song for Folgers Coffee, which has become extremely popular on the Internet.

Butler has starred on Broadway in Hairspray and Little Shop of Horrors. Green, who is currently playing Nessarose in Wicked, starred in the Off-Broadway musical bare. Holmes won two 1986 Tony Awards for his book and score to The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Kritzer will soon be presenting her show Leslie Kritzer Is Patti LuPone at Les Mouches at Joe’s Pub; among her other credits are the Broadway production of Hairspray and the Off-Broadway musicals The Great American Trailer Park and Bat Boy. Kudisch is a two-time Tony nominee for his performances in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Thoroughly Modern Millie.
