Baker, Midler, Vardalos to Guest Star at Fame Becomes Me

Bette Midler, Dylan Baker, and Nia Vardalos will be among the guest stars this week at Martin Short’s autobiographically-inspired musical Fame Becomes Me. Each celebrity will spend a few minutes being interviewed by Short’s alter ego, Jiminy Glick, as part of the Broadway production.

Midler will appear on Tuesday, October 24; Baker will appear on the evening of Wednesday, October 25, and Vardalos will appear on Friday, October 27. In addition, MSNBC commentator Tucker Carlson will be Short’s guest on Thursday, October 26. Past celebrity guests have include Jerry Seinfeld, Steve Martin, Nathan Lane, Rosie O’Donnell, and Martha Stewart.

Fame Become Me is directed by Scott Wittman, with music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Shaiman and Wittman, and a book by Short and playwright Daniel Goldfarb.
