Maria Bello, Rachel Dratch, Anthony Mackie, Adam Pascal, Amanda Peet, Rosie Perez, Ben Shenkman, Fisher Stevens, Lili Taylor, Tracie Thoms, and Kerry Washington are among the actors who will appear in this year’s edition of The 24 Hour Plays on Broadway at 8pm on Monday, October 24 at the American Airlines Theater.

Other artists set to participate include directors Christopher Ashley, Maria Mileaf, and Indhu Rubasingham, and playwrights David Lindsay-Abaire, Dael Orlandersmith, and Warren Leight. As in years past, each of the writers will have approximately eight hours to compose a 10-minute play, which will then be performed about 12 hours later.

Tickets to the event are priced at $125 and $250. Proceeds will benefit Working Playground, an organization that uses the arts to enrich the lives of underprivileged schoolchildren. In November, Working Playground will launch a special program for children and families who have relocated to New York in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The organization is also running an online auction through October 31 to benefit the project.

To purchase tickets to the benefit, call 212-868-4444; to participate in the auction, visit www.workingplayground.org.
