Broadway star Gavin Creel will perform his new pop/rock show GOODTIMENATION at 7:30pm on Monday, November 7 and 14 at Arlene’s Grocery (95 Stanton Street). The shows will coincide with the release of his CD of the same title; there will be no cover charge for these performances.

Creel has previously performed his music at such New York City venues as Joe’s Pub, Upstairs at Studio 54, Irving Plaza, Ars Nova, and Fez. His theatrical credits include the role of Jimmy Smith in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which he received a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor in a Musical. Creel also appeared in Bat Boy: The Musical, Stephen Sondheim’s Bounce, both the City Center Encores! and Actors’ Fund presentations of Hair, and the Broadway revival of La Cage aux Folles, in which he played Jean-Michel.

On Monday, October 31, Creel is scheduled to be part of Brilliant Mistake: Broadway Sings Elvis Costello, a benefit concert for Friends in Deed, to be held at John Jay College.
