Elaine Stritch will bring her current, critically acclaimed cabaret show Elaine Stritch: At Home at the Carlyle back to the Café Carlyle for a second engagement from January 10 through February 4, 2006.

The first run of the show will continue through October 30. In it, Stritch shares many anecdotes about her life and career, including an ill-fated date with Frank Sinatra and her friendship with Sir Noël Coward. She also sings such songs as “Why Him,” “Fifty Percent” and “Could I Leave You?”

Stritch has been a Broadway presence for nearly 60 years, having made her debut in the comedy Loco in 1946. She has starred in such shows as Call Me Madam, Pal Joey, Goldilocks, Sail Away, Company, Show Boat, and A Delicate Balance. Her 2002 solo show Elaine Stritch At Liberty won the Tony Award for Outstanding Special Theatrical Event.

In their review of Elaine Stritch: At Home at the Carlyle for TheaterMania, Barbara and Scott Siegel wrote: “[The show] is a study in stardom. Here is a performer who knows who she is, understands her gifts, and maximizes every moment on stage to give the audience the very best of her talent.”
