Comic and Cartoon Concert Slated for October 24

MoCCA and Ergo Theatre Company will present Toon Tunes, a one-night-only benefit concert of songs inspired by comic and cartoon art, on Monday, October 24 at Tonic (107 Norfolk Street).

The event will features Ergo company members belting out such well-known songs as “Tomorrow” from Annie, along with lesser-known items — e.g., “Revenge” (from It’s a Bird! It’s a Plane! It’s Superman!) and “Just One Night” (from Doonesbury The Musical). The company will also offer a sneak peak at Crystal Skillman’s That’s Andy!, a musical project currently in development.

Doors will open for a reception and silent auction at 7pm; the performance will begin at 8pm. Tickets are priced at $20 for cabaret seating, $40 for orchestra, and $80 for guaranteed front-row.
