Victoria Clark, Patricia Conolly, Boyd Gaines, Kathryn Meisle, Brian Murray, Marian Seldes, Samantha Soule, and Richard Thomas will participate in the Acting Company’s Salon Series at The Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street). Each of these readings of rarely produced plays will be followed by a reception with the cast and director.

The series is set to begin on Monday, November 14 with Seldes and Soule in Arthur Pinero’s Trelawny of the Wells, directed by Tom Fontana. On January 9, Murray and Conolly will perform the musical version of J.B. Priestley’s The Good Companions, with music by André Previn, under the direction of Susan Schulman.

Next up, on February 27, Tony Award winners Clark and Gaines will star in Rachel Crothers’ When Ladies Meet, directed by Melvin Bernhardt. The series will conclude with George Bernard Shaw’s Candida, starring Meisle and Thomas, directed by Douglas Mercer. All readings will begin at 7pm.

Proceeds from the series will help support The Acting Company’s Literacy Through Theater Program in New York City schools. Tickets are priced at $35-$55 per reading, $125-$200 for the series.
