Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell will bring his critically acclaimed one-man show Love/Life to Washington D.C.’s Lincoln Theater, November 1-6. In the show, which played Feinstein’s at the Regency and the Vivian Beaumont Theater earlier this year, Mitchell performs songs by such composers as George Gershwin, Cy Coleman, Leonard Bernstein, and Stephen Sondheim.

Mitchell received a Tony Award for his performance in Kiss Me, Kate and Tony nominations for his work in Man of La Mancha, King Hedley II, and Ragtime. His other New York credits include Kiss of the Spider Woman, Jelly’s Last Jam, and this year’s concert presentation of South Pacific at Carnegie Hall. On January 12, Mitchell will appear at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Allen Room to kick off the 2006 season of Lincoln Center’s American Songbook series; and, from February 9 through 12, he will co-star with Marin Mazzie in the City Center Encores! production of Kismet.

The Lincoln Theater in D.C. is located at 1215 U Street, NW. Tickets to Love/Life range in price from $40.50 to $60 and may be purchased by calling 202-397-SEAT.
