Meredith Baxter, Bonnie Franklin, and Lisa Gay Hamilton are among the stars set to participate in the upcoming Classic and Contemporary American Plays (C.C.A.P.) series of staged readings, which will take place at the Boston Court Performing Arts Complex in Pasadena, California. All readings will begin at 7:30pm.

The series will kick off on October 25 and 26 with Terrence McNally’s Frankie and Johnny in the Clair De Lune. The reading will star Hamilton, who was last seen on Broadway in Gem of the Ocean, and Alan Rosenberg, who appeared on Broadway in Lost in Yonkers and is known for his work on the TV shows Cybill and L.A. Law.

On November 15 and 16, TV favorite Baxter (Family Ties) will co-star with stage and screen star Mariette Hartley and Daytime Emmy winner Eden Riegel (All My Children) in John Pielmeier’s Agnes of God. On January 17 and 18, TV actor Joe Spano (Hill Street Blues) and film actor Michael Weston (The Dukes of Hazzard) will co-star in David Mamet’s American Buffalo.

The series will continue on February 21 and 22 with Franklin and Hattie Winston in Lee Blessing’s Going to St. Ives. Franklin, best known for the TV series One Day at a Time, co-starred in the original Broadway production of Applause. Winston’s many Broadway credits include Hair, The Me Nobody Knows, and The Tap Dance Kid.

Concluding the series on March 7 and 8 will be Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman, starring Franklin, Michael Gross, Matt Letscher, and Jordan Belfi. Gross, well known for his role on TV’s Family Ties, has appeared on Broadway in Bent, The Philadelphia Story, and Macbeth. Letscher was most recently seen on Broadway in The Rivals. Belfi starred in the MTV series Undressed.
