The upcoming Broadway revival of Neil Simon’s Barefoot in the Park, to be directed by Scott Elliott, is slated to begin performances at the Cort Theater on January 24 and to open officially on February 16.

As previously reported, the production will star Amanda Peet and Patrick Wilson as newlyweds Corie and Paul Bratter, Jill Clayburgh as Corie’s mother, and Tony Roberts as Victor Velasco. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

The show will have costumes by fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi, set design by Derek McLane, lighting design by Jason Lyons, and sound design by Ken Travis.

Peet was seen last season in the Public Theater’s production of Neil LaBute’s This is How It Goes. Wilson recieved Tony Award nominations for his roles in The Full Monty and Oklahoma!. Clayburgh is currently starring on Broadway in A Naked Girl on the Appian Way. Roberts has appeared in more than 20 Broadway shows, and received Tony nominations for How Now, Dow Jones and Play it Again, Sam. He also appeared in the original Broadway production of Barefoot in the Park, succeeding Robert Redford in the role of Paul.

That production also starred Elizabeth Ashley and Mildred Natwick, and was directed by Mike Nichols, who won a Tony Award for his work. The 1967 film version, directed by Gene Saks, starred Redford and Jane Fonda.
