Nancy Anderson, Tyler Maynard, Seth Rudetsky, and Lynne Wintersteller will head the cast of The Great Big Radio Show!, which will be seen October 28-30 as part of the York Theatre Company’s Musicals in Mufti series.

The show, first seen in London in 1993, is written by Philip Glassborow and Nick McIvor, directed by David Glenn Armstrong, and will feature music direction by Ken Clifton. Also featured in the cast are Robert Ari, Ed Dixon, Wally Dunn, Lexy Fridell, Ruth Gotshcall, Dan Sharkey, and David Staller.

The musical takes place in 1933, as a radio broadcast of The Great Big Radio Show! is about to go live. Unfortunately, the show’s star Gloria Pilbeam is nowhere to be found, and bandleader Blue Woodward must find a replacement without letting the sponsors know what’s happening.

Anderson has starred on Broadway in A Class Act and Wonderful Town and recently played Emma Fielding in the short-lived national tour of Doctor Dolittle. Maynard has starred Off-Broadway in Miracle Brothers and Altar Boyz. Rudetsky is host of the weekly Seth’s Broadway Chatterbox series and has been the producer of the annual Actors’ Fund benefit concerts. Wintersteller starred on Broadway in A Grand Night for Singing and was recently seen at the New York Musical Theater Festival in Richard Cory and The Mistress Cycle.
