Edward Albee will be honored at the ninth annual SAGE Awards cocktail party and dinner, to be held on Sunday, November 13 at the Ritz Carlton Battery Park Hotel, beginning at 6pm. Terrence McNally, Brian Murray, Marian Seldes, and Elaine Stritch will be on hand to salute the three-time Pulitzer Prize winning playwright.

Albee’s works include The Zoo Story, A Delicate Balance, Three Tall Women, and The Goat. His 1962 play Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? was revived on Broadway last season, and his 1975 play Seascape — which earned him his second Pulitzer — is now being revived by Lincoln Center Theater at Broadway’s Booth Theater with George Grizzard, Frances Sternhagen, Elizabeth Marvel, and Frederick Weller starring. (Performances begin October 28.)

SAGE was founded in 1977. The organization offers social services, programs, and community-building to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered seniors in and around New York City, in addition to providing education and advocacy on aging issues nationwide.

Tickets to the November 13 event are priced at $350 and up; to purchase or to obtain more information, call 212-741-0375.
