Primary Stages to Honor Foote and Childs

Primary Stages will celebrate its 20th anniversary season with a gala in honor of playwright Horton Foote and the company’s executive producer, Casey Childs, on Monday, November 8 at Tavern on the Green, beginning at 6:30pm. (The season began with a production of Foote’s The Day Emily Married.)
Past honorees include Harvey Fierstein, Fred Ebb and John Kander, A. R. Gurney, John Guare, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, Stephen Sondheim, Wendy Wasserstein and Terrence McNally. Primary Stages is dedicated to producing new plays and nurturing the development of playwrights.
