Lincoln Center’s American Songbook Series Will Move Into New Frederick P. Rose Hall in January

American Songbook, the Lincoln Center series devoted to American popular song in its many forms, will begin its seventh season on January 6 in a new home at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall, located at Columbus Circle.

Highlights of the season will include solo concerts by Elaine Stritch, Rebecca Luker, Darius de Haas, and Nellie McKay; staged readings of musicals including William Bolcolm’s Casino Paradise; performances by “new folk” and “new country” artists Rosanne Cash, Dar Williams, and Laura Cantrell and Friends; New York Festival of Song’s At Harlem’s Height and other programs celebrating Black History Month; a Harold Arlen Centenary Tribute by Tonya Pinkins; and a semi-staged performance of Stephen Sondheim’s Passion starring Patti LuPone, Audra McDonald, and Michael Cerveris.


Tickets are currently on sale for those interested in attending two or more concerts; single ticket sales will begin on October 17.
