York Theatre Company Schedules All-Star Benefit Concert of Stephen Schwartz’s Children of Eden

Norm Lewis, Julia Murney, and John Tartaglia are among the stars who will participate in a concert presentation of the Stephen Schwartz-John Caird musical Children of Eden to benefit the National AIDS Fund and the York Theatre Company on World AIDS Day — Monday, December 1 — at 7pm.

This will be the first professional production of Children of Eden in New York City. The show uses Biblical stories of the Creation, Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, Noah’s Ark, and others to to explore relationships between children and their parents. In addition to Lewis, Murney, and Tartaglia, the cast is set include Ann Harada, Max von Essen, Anthony Rapp, Kate Shindle, Darius de Haas, and Jai Rodriguez. Directed by Jamie McGonnigal, with musical direction by Mark Hartman, the production will also feature a 100-member chorus.
