Wasserstein to Receive Friend of the Arts Award

Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Wendy Wasserstein will receive the Town Hall Friend of the Arts Award at Town Hall’s 82nd anniversary gala on Sunday, October 26. The award will also be presented to Paul LeClerc, president and CEO of the New York Public Library.

Wasserstein is the author of such plays as The Heidi Chronicles, The Sisters Rosensweig, An American Daughter, Bachelor Girls, Uncommon Women and Others, and Isn’t It Romantic.

The Friend of the Arts event will begin with a performance of the annual Cabaret Convention at 3pm at Town Hall. Cocktails and dinner will follow at the Princeton Club, where the awards presentation will be held.
