American Theatre Wing Announces Fall 2003 "Working in the Theatre" Seminars

The American Theatre Wing has announced three upcoming “Working in the Theatre” seminars, to be held on October 28, October 29, and October 30. The seminars are moderated by working theater professionals and are offered every winter and spring; admission is free for theater students, members of theatrical unions and guilds, and cast members of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows.

A playwright/director/choreographer seminar with Jonathan Butterell, Arthur Kopit, Joey McNeely, Theresa Rebeck, and Susan H. Schulman, moderated by Jeffrey Eric Jenkins, will be held on Tuesday, October 28, from 11am to 1pm. A production seminar with members of the creative team of Avenue Q including Robert Lopez, Rick Lyon, Jeff Marx, Sam Rudy, Jeffrey Seller, and Jeff Whitty, moderated by Lonny Price, will be held on Wednesday, October 29, from 11am to 1pm. A design seminar featuring David Gallo, Donald Holder, Toni-Leslie James, and Tony Meolo will be held on Wednesday, October 29, from 2pm to 4pm. Finally, a performance seminar featuring Marc Kudish, Rebecca Luker, Lewis J. Stadlen, and others, moderated by Pia Lindstrom, will be held on Thursday, October 30 from 11am to 1pm.

All of the seminars will be offered at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (365 Fifth Avenue at 34th Street). Tickets will be distributed to reservation holders 45 minutes prior to each seminar. The series of seminars is broadcast six times a week on CUNY-TV (Time Warner channel 75 and RCN channel 106) and is shown regularly on Channel 36 in Los Angeles; check your local listings for additional information.
