Like its socio-politically minded, monologue-driven forebear The Guys, the new docudrama The Exonerated will have celebrities rotating in and out of its cast.

Currently starring the likes of Richard Dreyfuss and Jill Clayburgh, the play — based on interviews with seven people who were convicted of and served time on death row for crimes they didn’t commit — will see an influx of new talent this week. From October 17 to November 3, Peter Gallagher, whose stage credits include Noises Off and Guys and Dolls, will join the cast as Kerry Max Cook (replacing Dreyfuss); and film actor Jeff Goldblum will be on board as Gary Gauger (replacing Jay O. Sanders).

Other stars are already lining up to take roles in The Exonerated at the 45 Bleecker Theater: Marlo Thomas is set to come in on November 5 and Bebe Neuwirth on December 3.
