On Sunday, November 10, Harvey Fierstein and Marissa Jaret Winokur of Hairspray will host “Hair Cares,” a benefit evening of entertainment provided by the cast of that smash hit show. The funds raised will go to support the work of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Conceived and directed by Hairspray cast member Shoshana Bean (and titled by Mr. Fierstein), “Hair Cares” is a one-night-only event that will give the show’s cast a chance to move beyond the musical’s ’60s-style sounds and present an eclectic evening of original music.

“Hair Cares” will take place at the Le Bar Bat, 311 West 57th Street (west of Eighth Avenue). Doors will open at 7:30pm and the performance will start at 8pm. Regular tickets, at $30 per, may be reserved by phoning 212-802-7891. For $150, you can get a prime ticket to the performance plus admittance to a pre-show VIP party, a gift bag, and a photo-op with the cast; phone 212-840-0770 to reserve those tix.
