Liza Minnelli will open at NYC's Palace Theater, her mom's old stomping ground, in her new one-woman show MINELLI ON MINELLI, December 1st. More than 40 years ago, a nine-year-old Liza briefly shared the spotlight with mom, Judy Garland at the historic Broadway theater. The upcoming show is a tribute to her father, Vincente Minnelli, and will feature songs from his films such as Meet Me in St. Louis, Brigadoon and Ziegfeld Follies.

Sources close to MINNELLI ON MINNELLI say it will be tried out for several days out-of-town, possibly at the theater on the campus of New York State University at Purchase, before opening on Broadway. Stewart F. Lane, the co-owner with James M. Nederlander of the Palace says "Liza's in great shape...she's training for this just like an athlete before the big game. It's going to be a great show!" MINNELLI ON MINNELLI is being produced by Cablevision's Radio City Music Hall Productions.
