Jenn Colella, George Dvorsky, Christiane Noll, and Sal Viviano will gather together at Barnes & Noble (at East 86th Street and Lexington Avenue) on Friday, September 20, at 5pm to celebrate the release of their new cast album. The four make up the complete cast of the York Theatre Company‘s 2012 revival production of Closer Than Ever, by Richard Maltby Jr. and David Shire, the pair who earned a Tony nod for the score of Baby. Music director Andrew Gerle and composer Shire will join the cast as they perform selections from the musical and sign CDs for attendees.

Closer Than Ever, a musical revue of Maltby and Shire’s work, had its first off-Broadway run in 1989 at the Cherry Lane Theatre. It returned to off-Broadway last summer, running at the York Theatre Company from June through November 2012.

Priority seating at Barnes & Noble will be offered with the purchase of a CD, and wristbands for admission to the event will be available beginning at 9am.
