Susan L. Schulman Tells All in Her Memoir Backstage Pass to Broadway: True Tales From a Theatre Press Agent

The seasoned press agent shares stories from her career and memories of the Broadway legends who filled it.

On September 16, Heliotrope Books will publish longtime theater press agent Susan L. Schulman’s memoir, Backstage Pass to Broadway: True Tales From a Theatre Press Agent. To celebrate the book’s release, theater journalist Peter Filichia will join Schulman at the Drama Book Shop at 5pm that day for a Q & A and book signing.

Throughout her career, Schulman has worked with some of Broadway’s most renowned performers, including Mary Martin, George C. Scott, Lauren Bacall, Yul Brynner, Robert Redford, David Merrick, Bob Fosse, Raul Julia, Zero Mostel, Vanessa Redgrave, Henry Winkler, Lesley Ann Warren, Katharine Hepburn, Glenn Close, and many more. Her book dishes on her behind-the-scenes experiences with the stars while delving into the enigmatic life of a theatrical press agent and the evolution of the job over the years.
