This is a big week for Broadway history. On Wednesday, September 4, 2013, Wicked became the 11th-longest-running show on Broadway, soaring by Miss Saigon with 4,093 performances. In addition, on Saturday, September 7, Jersey Boys will become the 15th-longest-running show on Broadway. Just a few weeks earlier, the show overtook Broadway’s longest-running nonmusical play, Life With Father; this time it’s moving past the 1965 Tony winner for Best Musical, Fiddler on the Roof.
