Grammy Winner k.d. lang to Make Her Broadway Debut in After Midnight

The pop/country singer follows Fantasia as the production’s second special-guest performer.

Grammy Award-winning pop icon k.d. lang has been announced as the second guest star to join Broadway’s upcoming Cotton Club-themed musical, After Midnight. She will join the production from February 11-March 9, 2014, following Grammy Award winner Fantasia Barrino, who will open the show as its first guest performer.

Lang earned her first Grammy Award with her album Absolute Torch and Twang. Some of her most notable hits include “Constant Craving” and “Miss Chatelaine,” as well as her rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” which she performed live at the opening ceremony of the 2011 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

She will join a cast that stars Dulé Hill (The West Wing) and Tony Award winner Adriane Lenox (Doubt).
