Producers of A Night With Janis Joplin have announced a general rush policy for the new Broadway musical. A limited number of $30 rush tickets will be available for purchase on the day of performance at the Lyceum Theatre box office at 10am. There is a limit of two tickets per person, and tickets are subject to availability.

Performances are set to begin Friday, September 20, at the Lyceum Theatre, with an opening night scheduled for Thursday, October 10.

Mary Bridget Davies is reprising her role as the titular character on Broadway, after having received critical acclaim regionally for her performance as the late rock star. Tony Award nominee De'Adre Aziza (Passing Strange), NaTasha Yvette Williams (The Gershwins' Porgy & Bess), and Taprena Michelle Augustine (The Book of Mormon) will join Davies as Joplin's backup singers, The Joplinaires. The cast also features Kacee Clanton, Allison Blackwell, and Alison Cusano.

Using Joplin's songbook, the show celebrates the life of the rock icon, charting her explosion onto the music scene and highlighting what made her a must-see headliner from Monterey, California, to Woodstock, New York.

A Night With Janis Joplin played acclaimed engagements at Portland Center Stage, Cleveland Play House, Arena Stage, Pasadena Playhouse, and Milwaukee Repertory Theater. Davies received the 2013 Cleveland Critics Circle Award for Best Actress in a Musical and a 2013 Helen Hayes Award nomination for her performance.

The creative team includes writer and director Randy Johnson, Patricia Wilcox (choreographer), Justin Townsend (set and lighting design), Amy Clark (costume design), Carl Casella (sound design), Daniel Maloney (projection design), Ross Seligman (musical direction), and Len Rhodes (original music direction and arrangement).

A Night With Janis Joplin is produced by Todd Gerswhin and Daniel Chilewich, in association with the Estate of Janis Joplin and Jeffrey Jampol for JAM, Inc.
