William Michals, Jane Pfitsch to Star in The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s Man of La Mancha

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey is set to present Man of La Mancha, October 17-November 18 at F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre. Bonnie J. Monte will direct, with music direction by Doug Oberhamer.

With a book by Dale Wasserman, lyrics by Joe Darion, and music by Mitch Leigh, Man of La Mancha is inspired by Miguel de Cervantes’ seventeenth century masterpiece Don Quixote.

William Michals will star as Cervantes, leading a cast that also includes Jane Pfitsch (Aldonza), Blake Pfeil (Sancho Panza), Patrick Boll (The Duke/Dr. Carrasco), David Hess ( Governor/Inkeeper), Derin Altay (Housekeeper), Darren Matthias (Captain of the Inquisition), and Jeremy Lee Parish (Padre) as well as Kim Sava, John Seidman, Lee Harrington, Sean Buhr, George Abud, Jordan Laroya, John Gardner, and Katy Hinson.

The design team will feature Michael Schweikardt (set design), Michelle Eden Humphrey (costume design), Michael Giannitti (lighting design), and Steven L. Beckel (sound design).
