Signature’s Golden Child to Feature Jennifer Lim, Julyana Soelistyo, Greg Watanabe

Jennifer Lim, Julyana Soelistyo, and Greg Watanabe are among the cast of Signature Theatre Company’s upcoming revival of David Henry Hwang‘s Golden Child, the first production in their Residency One series of the Tony Award-winning playwright’s work. Hwang’s frequent collaborator Leigh Silverman helms the staging, which runs October 23-December 2 at the Pershing Square Signature Center‘s Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre.

Watanabe, who appeared on the MyNetworkTV series Watch Over Me, will play the lead role of Andrew Kwong/Eng Tieng-Bin. Lim, who starred in Hwang’s Chinglish on Broadway, will play Eng Luan. Soelistyo, one of the play’s original Broadway cast members, will play Eng Siu-Young.

The cast also features Annie Q as Eng Ahn, Matthew Maher as Reverend Baines, Lesly Hu as Eng Eling, Tina Chilip as Servant/Ghost, and Nadia Gan as Servant/Ghost.

Golden Child‘s design team includes Neil Patel (scenic designer), Anita Yavich (costume designer), Matt Frey (lighting designer), Darron L West (sound designer), Darrel Maloney (projection designer), Tom Watson (hair and wig design), Deb Hecht (dialect coach), and Qian Yi (movement consultant).
