Roger Rifkin, Christopher Ryan, Lauren Elaine Taylor Lead Musicals Tonight’s Red, Hot and Blue

Roger Rifkin, Christopher Ryan, and Lauren Elaine Taylor will lead the cast of Musicals Tonight’s production of Cole Porter’s Red, Hot and Blue, set to run October 2-14 at the Lion Theatre. Thomas Sabella-Mills directs the work, which features musical direction by James Stenborg.

The 1936 musical, which features a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, follows the misadventures of a former manicurist (Taylor), her square boyfriend (Ryan), and an ex-con (Rifkin).

The company also includes Tara Lynne Khaler, Jessica George, Ben Gleichauf, Beth Kuhn, Jody Cook, Graham Bailey, Tony Castellanos, Ashley Klanac, Rob Lorey, Megan Meyer, Molly Pope, Jeannie Schubitz, and Jacob L. Smith.

The score features tunes including “It’s De-Lovely,” “Down in the Depths on the 90th Floor,” and “How’m I Ridin’?” among others.
