Mama I Want To Sing: The Next Generation and Sing, Harlem, Sing! to Resume Weekly Performances

Mama Foundation for the Arts has announced that its currently running musicals Mama I Want To Sing: The Next Generation and Sing, Harlem, Sing! will resume weekly back to back performances beginning on October 6 at The Dempsey Theater.

Mama I Want To Sing: The Next Generation, the story of a talented young girl who dreams of leaving her church choir to pursue a life in popular music, is directed by Ken Wydro and features Ahmaya Knoelle Higginson (Doris), Bettina Pennon (Mama), Sandra Huff (Sister Carrie), Tyrone Flowers (Reverend Winters), Elijah Ahmad Lewis (the Minister of Music), Vy Higginsen (The Narrator), as well as members of Ms. Higginsen’s Gospel for Teens Choir.

The soulful musical revue Sing, Harlem, Sing! features Natasha C. Coward, Tyrone Flowers, Ahmaya Knoelle Higginson, Fela Jackson, Octavia Jones, Elijah Ahmad Lewis, Michael Liverpool, Vaughn Moore, Ne’Lashee’, N’Kenge, Bettina Pennon, Craig Stagg, Kia Thorton-Miller, Whitney White, Craig Wiggins and Vy Higginsen as The Narrator and is also directed by Ken Wydro.
