Jesse Eisenberg and Tony and Oscar winner Vanessa Redgrave will star in the Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre’s world premiere of Eisenberg’s new play The Revisionist at the Cherry Lane Theatre, running February 6-March 31. Kip Fagan directs the play.

The work, which is set in Poland, ollows the relationship between David (Eisenberg), a writer with writer’s block, and his 75-year-old cousin Maria (Redgrave), who needs to connect with her distant American family.

Eisenberg starred in Rattlestick’s production of his play Asuncion. He received an Oscar nomination for his work in the film The Social Network. His additional film credits include the films Zombieland, Adventureland, and The Squid and the Whale.

Redgrave’s recent Broadway credits include Driving Miss Daisy, The Year of Magical Thinking, and Long Day’s Journey Into Night, for which she received a Tony Award. She won an Oscar for her performance in the film Julia.
