Award-winning actor, playwright, and filmmaker Christine Toy Johnson will be honored by the Asian American Arts Alliance with the 2012 Wai Look Award for Outstanding Service to the Arts. She will receive the award at the organization's 30th Anniversary Gala on October 9, at TriBeCa Rooftop.
The award is intended to recognize and encourage Asian American individuals working as an arts administrator, advocate, leader or equivalent whose active participation in or for the arts has made a considerable impact.
Also being honored are physician/writer Deepak Chopra; Asia Society President and CEO Vishakha N. Desai; and musician/composer Fred Ho.
